Solo in Paris: A 5-Day Itinerary with Must-Visit Spots and Tips

Paris is always a good idea! Here’s a glimpse of what I did and loved during my FABULOUS Parisian escapade.

Day 1:

I kicked off my trip with some high fashion at La Galerie Dior! While I absolutely loved the exhibits, I wish I’d snagged my ticket earlier to avoid the hour-long wait. If you’re planning a visit, get those tickets ahead of time!

After indulging in some fashion history, I took a sunset river cruise on the Seine with Bateaux-Mouches. Pro tip: Go during golden hour for the most magical views. The cruise was a serene way to see Paris from a different perspective. You can book online or buy tickets at the port, and they run all day, so it’s easy to fit into your itinerary. If you do want to book one ahead of time, here’s a great one to book.

Day 2:

I spent the day at the Palace of Versailles. If you go, get a timed ticket in advance to skip those long lines. I opted for the passport ticket to explore the entire grounds, including the gardens. It’s huge, so if you want to cover it all, consider booking a golf cart. I took an Uber there (about a $40 and an hour ride) and returned by train, which took a bit longer. The Hall of Mirrors and the gardens were definitely the highlights for me.

Later, I dove into the Paris nightlife with a speakeasy bar hop organized by @speakeasyspiritsparis. It was a fantastic way to discover hidden gems and enjoy the local scene with a guide. Perfect for solo travelers like me!

Day 3:

Montmartre was such a charming district! I explored the area, enjoyed oysters at a local spot, and watched an incredible violinist in front of the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur. The views and people-watching were top-notch. I also stopped by the Terrass Hotel’s rooftop for sunset views with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Absolutely worth it!

Day 4:

Visited Le Petit Palais, which was a delightful museum experience—small enough to not be overwhelming but packed with cool art. I also treated myself to some hot chocolate from Carette. A perfect sweet treat after a morning of exploring. (You know I love a sweet treat LOL)

Day 5:

Wrapped up my trip with a classic Parisian picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. Just grabbed some goodies, relaxed on the grass, and soaked in the view. I also checked out the Arc de Triomphe and treated myself to macarons from Ladurée—because, why not?

Paris, they could never make me hate you! I can’t wait for my next adventure there. Have you been to any of these spots, or do you have other Parisian recommendations? Drop me a comment or DM me on Instagram—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
